Cian Healy ruled out for three weeks with knee injury

Cian Healy has become the latest Irish injury doubt ahead of next month's Six Nations after Leinster confirmed he will be out of action for "three to four weeks" with a knee injury.

The diagnosis leaves Healy in danger of seeing no game time before Ireland’s opening Six Nations game against Wales on February 7th - although his aim will no doubt be to make a return in the Pro12 fixture against Newport Gwent Dragons in just over three weeks time.

Ahead of this Friday's Guinness Pro12 match against the Ospreys in the Liberty Stadium, Leinster head coach Leo Cullen said that Healy "underwent a scope and clear out of his right knee yesterday afternoon. This was an elective procedure, and while we are still waiting for the report, it is expected that he will be out for three to four weeks."

Meanwhile Luke McGrath has recovered from his foot infection and Johnny Sexton has trained fully this week. Both are available for this Friday.

Isaac Boss is continuing rehab on his hamstring while Mick Kearney has returned to non-contact on-field training as he steps up his recovery from a toe injury. Jack Conan has had a protective boot removed as he continues his recovery from a broken foot.
