Irish tour professional Paul McGinley travelled halfway around the world to be with his mother Julia at her lady captain's drive-in at Dunfanaghy. The Dubliner had been kicking off his 2001 season by competing in the World Matchplay event in Australia but that wasn't going to prevent him from being back in Donegal on January 7th for his mother's proud occasion.

David Cowan is the men's captain. Paul, meanwhile, has been doing some excellent work at Dunfanaghy, toughening up the course by lengthening the sixth, ninth, 10th and 11th holes.
