Denis Lynch drives off in new Land Rover he won at Belgian show

Tipperary-born rider wins elite Land Rover Masters competition at the five-star show

Tipperary-born Denis Lynch left the main arena in Melchelen, Belgium yesterday evening driving a new Land Rover Discovery Sport following his win in the elite Land Rover Masters competition at the five-star Belgian show.

Only three of the 10 starters got through to the fourth jump-off round where the 39-year-old Irish rider recorded the only clear with Dr Martin Fromer's nine-year-old stallion Songe de Toscane. In yesterday morning's 1.40m speed class, Lynch and his own Blue Silver finished third in 59.47 behind Italy's Luca Maria Moneta who filled the first two placings on Neptune Brecourt (53.76) and Salomon (58.79).
