Vanessa Lawrenson and Ruth Doyle will team up to form the Irish women's lightweight double scull for the World Cup rowing regatta at Hazewinkel in Belgium the weekend after next. The two Commercial women were chosen after trials on Saturday and yesterday morning.
The four other triallists, Ailis Holohan, Meadhbh Terry, Siobhan Forman and Audrey Phelan, will be entered as a quadruple scull for Hazewinkel - but will only take part if the competition can provide a serious test. If not then another double, chosen from this four, will compete.
