An Irish artist is set to create a world record for golf memorabilia

An Irish artist is set to create a world record for golf memorabilia. Sir John Lavery's The First Green, North Berwick, is expected to fetch up to £500,000 when auctioned by Christie's on October 26th.

The existing record is held by the same Ulster artist. One of Lavery's paintings done at North Berwick during visits to Scotland after World War One, was sold at auction three years ago for about £430,000.
