Koepka has won his fifth major title, that puts him level with Seve Ballesteros in the all-time major list, and the most majors of any player younger than Tiger Woods. He moves ahead of Rory McIlroy, who was on four.

He’s only the third player after Tiger and Jack Nicklaus to win at least three PGAs. And of course, a first major for a LIV golfer since the tour began.

That’s all from me for tonight, hope you enjoyed it. Philip Reid’s report to come shortly.

23:39

Hovland birdies the last. Nice finish for a 68. Just one shot at the 16th he won’t sleep thinking about. Meanwhile, Koepka leaves his birdie putt just short but taps it in.

BROOKS KOEPKA HAS WON THE PGA CHAMPIONSHIP!

23:32

One hole left, Hovland hits a great drive at it. Koepka needs a bogey to win the championship. He hits the fairway, solid.

Nice approach by Hovland at 18. Par at the 16th and it would have made a difference. Koepka though finishes in style, to 10 feet from 178 yards.

23:27

Michael Block on his hole-in-one: “I didn’t even know it was in. Rory turns around and says ‘it went on the hole’. I said, you’re kidding me. When Rory started hugging me, I knew it was in”.

23:19

Koepka goes way right on the 17th but just chips it out sideways to the fairway. He has a large lead. He then wedged it to the middle of the green.

Scheffler birdies the 18th! That’s a nice 65 to finish for the world number 2 and moves into second place on -7.

23:09

Double bogey for Hovland! A disaster at 16 and Koepka makes the birdie! Four-stroke lead heading to the last twos holes. That’s it.

23:02

Koepka hits a brilliant iron from the rough! After a long wait. A man who knows how to win majors. Hovland has an outside chance of bogey.

McIlroy misses his birdie putt at the last. Looks like being a round of 69 and a top 10 finish.

Michael Block hits it way left at the 18th but hits a brilliant pitch. 10 feet for par to qualify for next year. He makes it! What a guy! Top 15 for the club pro against the best players in the world.

22:57

Hovland hits the bunker face! Takes on too much on a downhill slope, embedded into the bump. That could be the tournament.

Hovland now needs to take an unplayable, looking at a double bogey.

Scheffler pushes his iron on the 17th. Would say it looked like he slipped but he always looks like that when swinging... seemed off balance.

22:53

Hovland finds the bunker off the tee at 16. Could be costly. Scheffler’s drive is good at 17, well down the fairway. Koepka carries the bunker, in the rough 15 yards ahead of him.

22:45

Scheffler’s gap wedge at the 16th is just a little short, outside birdie chance. At the 15th, Koepka and Hovland both leave themselves long birdie putts, Hovland slightly closer.

Koepka’s putt looks short all the way but eases up to gimme distance. Good putt. Hovland’s putt fades away also.

Scheffler’s birdie putt never looks like going in, pulled. Needs to find a birdie on the last two holes.

22:40

Scheffler on 16 hits a big drive right down the heart. McIlroy’s birdie putt at 16 just misses.

Hovland’s bunker shot is a little farther away than he would have liked, Koepka’s putt closer for birdie. They both make their birdies though and move further away from Scheffler.

22:30

Nice shot into 18 by Lowry, but can’t make the birdie. It’s a par and a round of 69, looks like being a top 15 finish for him.

Hovland goes for the green at the short par 4 14th but goes into the rough short of the green. Koepka hits a brilliant drive and carries onto the green. Just goes off to the fringe but advantage Koepka.

22:27

Birdie for Hovland! Big putt from 10 feet, he gets to -7. Brilliant par putt from Koepka from 8 feet to stay one ahead. Exciting finish ahead.

22:23

Clumsy chip after that wow moment by Block from McIlroy, work to do for his par. Meanwhile, Scheffler also goes flag hunting and hits the flag with his bunker shot. All happening! Birdie for Scheffler to get to -6!

In the leading group, Hovland hits a good approach close on the 13th, Koepka spins it off the green.

McIlroy misses the par putt. Lowry also drops a shot at 17th sadly.

22:16

Hole-in-one for club pro Michael Block! Slam dunk into the hole, flew straight in! How about that, his week just keeps getting better. What a moment. The crowd goes wild.

22:11

Birdie for Koepka! He putts it in from the fringe to get back to -8, immediately responds to Scheffler. Hovland misses from closer, putt pulls left. Two shot lead again.

McIlroy misses from 7 feet. A bad putt after playing partner Block had given him the line. With Koepka’s birdie, that should be that.

Bad drive by Hovland at the 13th, catches the trees and leaves himself a long way back at the par 5.

22:08

Scheffler bringing the noise! He wedges it close at the 13th and should make birdie there to get to -5. The world number two isn’t out of it.

Koepka at the 12th hits a nice approach but just doesn’t bounce off the fringe and doesn’t make the green. Still a chance from there. Hovland over the flag, 12 feet left.

22:03

Birdie for Shane Lowry! At the 16th on the toughest hole of the golf course hits a dart to five feet! Chance to get under par, which he takes. Nice final round going for him.

McIlroy at the short 4 14th hits a cut, but just catches the bunker at the front of the green. Needs to get up and down there for another birdie.

They may not win, but currently two Irish players in the top 10 of a major again. Something to be proud of.

21:56

Birdie for McIlroy! Big roar from the crowd. Late salvo from McIlroy on the back nine again, but too little too late? Up to -3.

Koepka does very well considering his lie in the bunker but decent length par putt left at the 11th. He lips out, it’s a good effort but the lead is back to one. Rory within four of the lead.

21:50

Davis leaves his putt short on 18, but posts -3 in the house. Fine 3 iron by Hovland hits the middle of the green. Koepka goes for 4 iron and ends up the lip of the bunker at 11.

Just 57 yards left on the par 5 for McIlroy in two. He hits a nice pitch in close, but a tricky sloping downhill putt left for birdie. Must-make putt.

21:44

Big final round by the Australian Cam Davis. A birdie putt left to post -4, which could be good enough for a top 5 finish by the end of the day.

Hovland with a putt at 10 to tie Koepka... just lips out! Harsh. But goes a good 5 feet past the hole, and Koepka has a good chance from 8 feet up the hill after a great approach for birdie, which he makes! Hovland saves his par but the lead is back to two.

21:36

Eagle for Shane Lowry! There we go, nice memory for the week and worth a lot of money. A drive at the short par 4 to 15 feet and sank the putt. Up to even par and tied 14th.

McIlroy middle of the fairway at the 12th. Het hits a lovely draw over the pin, but slightly overhit, 30 feet left for birdie, he lags it close. DeChambeau drops a shot at the 10th, while Cam Davis is up to -3.

21:32

Hovland’s chip is delicate and well played, lovely touch to close. Koepka has another good lag putt, and makes par.

DeChambeau flies the green on 10, costly approach there. Straka bogeys the last but still a round of 65, one of the best of the week. He’s -2 for the tournament. Rory up to tied 7th now.

21:27

Close! McIlroy’s putt from 43 foot at the 11th just shaves the hole. Good positive putt.

Koepka makes the green from the rough on 9, but long putt left. Hovland flies the green at 9, work to do to save par there. Scheffler birdies the 10th after a nice approach. Back to -4.

21:20

Nice chip by Hovland, saves his par on 8. Koepka’s putt from 35 feet is lagged up well. Two pars there for the leaders.

McIlroy’s tee shot at the long par 3 11th is safely on the green with a 4 iron.

21:10

Another good approach by Rory at 10. Seven feet, really needs to get that one. DeChambeau birdies the 8th to also move within three of the lead. Scheffler drops a shot at the 9th, so DeChambeau into solo third.

Koepka’s second shot into the 8th is a little short. Hovland in the rough and goes right and long.

Birdie for McIlroy! Now only five back. He’s been much better on the back nine this week so bodes well.

21:04

A tough stance for Koepka in the bunker, it’s all not going his way last 20 minutes or so after such a strong start. He doesn’t have much of a shot and leaves himself a long par putt. He lags it up nicely, but it’s two bogeys in a row. Some 23 foot for Hovland’s par left. Just short to the left. Koepka stays one ahead.

All of a sudden, Scheffler only three shots off the lead...

21:00

Birdie for McIlroy! Has birdied two of the tougher par 4s. Three birdies, three bogeys, back where he started.

Koepka with another poor shot, pushes his iron right into the bunker. Very long bunker shot left. Hovland lays up after a bad lie in the rough. He’s a long par putt left after his approach.

Another birdie for Scheffler, he’s getting hot with the putter and moves to -4. Rose misses his chance.

Open champion Cameron Smith finishes with a 65, which puts him inside the top 10.

20:56

McIlroy’s approach to the 9th is quite good, decent birdie chance. Rose and Scheffler pepper the pins at 8, two good birdie chances coming up to get to -4. Cantlay eagles the 14th, a rare eagle this week, after hitting the green with his drive. He’s up to -1. Straka is -6 for the day and -3 for the tournament.

20:51

Koepka after the drop hits it to the back of the green. Hovland’s bunker shot is not fantastic, work to do to save par. Koepka hits a good lag putt and gets away with just a bogey. Hovland makes his par putt from 8 feet and moves within one!

Scottie Scheffler gets his first birdie of the day at the 7th to move to -3.

20:40

Koepka hits a drive way right on the 6th hole and he hits into the hazard. Unexpected loose swing there, speaks to the rules official about the drop. Hovland hits into the bunker from the middle of the fairway, really could have done with hitting the middle of the green there.

Lowry bogeys the 10th hole, he’s now +2.

20:34

Koepka shaves the hole for his chance of a fourth birdie in a row. And Hovland takes advantage and holes his birdie putt! Back to within two of the lead. Koepka -9, Hovland -7 and third is -4. A gap is forming. Rose joins the players at -4 with a nice birdie on 6, which seems to be playing easier today.

Bogey for McIlroy! He doesn’t get up and down at the 7th. Now nine shots behind and looking for a placing at best the way the leaders are playing.

20:31

Another dart of an iron by Koepka at 5, relentless. Birdie chance once more. Hovland going blow for blow though and another good iron to follow.

McIlroy hits a good drive at the 7th, middle of the fairway. But airmails the green with his approach. Hopes of winning quickly fading.

20:24

Koepka birdies! Three birdies in a row from holes 2 to 4. An absolute clinic so far. Can he be caught? Viktor Hovland at least keeps pace with him with a birdie on the same hole to move into solo second. Two-shot swing in the Conners and DeChambeau group as Conners bogeys and Bryson birdies.

20:20

Birdie for McIlroy! His up-and-down day continues. Birdies one of the hardest holes on the course, that’s one against the field at 6. Back to -1.

Hovland at the 4th hits a nice wedge and catches the slope perfectly. Five feet for birdie. Another good wedge by Koepka over the top of the flagstick and another birdie chance.

20:14

Rory’s tee shot is well off at the 6th but gets a good lie and hits a great iron shot to birdie range.

Perez drops a shot at the 7th, his first of the day after a strong start. He’s back to -2. Birdie for Conners at 4 after a nice wedge, back to three behind Koepka.

20:09

Birdie for Koepka! That’s a three-shot lead all of a sudden. Ominous for the rest of the field given Koepka’s track record. At the 4th he just avoids the bunkers and in the fiarway on the 4th. The LIV golfer’s caddie is Ricky Elliott, from Portrush.

Solid but no charge for Shane Lowry today, level par for the round after a bogey on 1 and a birdie on 4. Not the start either of the Irish would have wanted, as Koepka extends his lead.

20:00

Bogey for McIlroy! Three-putt on the par 5 from 39 feet. Now seven behind the leader Koepka, who hits a piercing 5 iron to 5 feet at 3. What a start from Brooks.

19:52

Mcilroy at the 4th laid up to the first cut of rough. But underhit his approach at the par 5 and an outside chance left for birdie.

Brilliant approach by Koepka at the 2nd, 162 yards to 5 feet. But Hovland hits almost as close as him! Two great shots from the final group. Hovland misses the putt from the same spot as Scheffler, big slope on that putt. No mistake for Koepka though and he makes birdie!

No birdie for Rose, would have been one against the field at 3. Both Conners and DeChambeau miss the green at the same hole and in trouble.

19:46

Koepka misses his birdie putt at the first, it’s a par. Hovland gets up and down for par also. Rose, boosted by his chip-in at the last, hits a super iron shot at the 3rd to set up another good chance.

Perez is lighting up the course after four birdies to start and even sets up another one at the extremely difficult 6th hole. A Patrick Reed sighting on the leaderboard. He’s -3 for his day and -1 for the tournament.

19:41

Hovland stuck behind a tree at the first. But finds a gap and it’s a good hit but his low punch goes over the green. Koepka’s wedge is okay, but not as close as he’d like. Middle of the green.

Justin Rose chips in from the rough on 2! Disaster averted, important par. French play Perez gets his fourth birdie in a row to start. Birdies are out there. It eludes Scheffler though, who misses after a good approach.

McIlroy hits the green on the 3rd, a long way away. He lags it up close.

19:37

The final group is under way! Brooks Koepka, the two-time PGA champion and leader, tees off and appears slightly right but okay, it stays on the fairway. Viktor Hovland, the young Norwegian star, has a similar line but further to the right and into the rough.

Scheffler almost holes his approach on the 2nd! Goes a few foot past but fantastic shot and good birdie chance. Bad mistake for Rose, hits it short into the bunker and fails to make the green.

19:31

Bogey for McIlroy! Putt goes left and stays left. Disappointing to give up the shot he gained at the first. Can’t afford any more unforced errors like that. He’s back to -1. Another good shot by Perez at the 5th, who has a good chance to go to -3.

19:25

Birdie for Lowry! He hits a wedge to 12 feet at the par 5 4th and sinks the putt. Back to where started at +1 and tied 14th.

Rory hits a decent flop from the thick rough, but left with 10 foot for par not to give up the momentum of the first.

Scheffler hits a very nice putt but lips out for birdie, ouch. Rose gets his birdie to move to -3. Victor Perez has had a quick start and he’s up to -2.

19:20

Rory takes iron off the tee at the 2nd, 385 yards short par 4. Centre of the fairway. McIlroy with 130 yards to the hole... pushes it right. Short-sided himself. He throws the club down, disappointed with that one.

On the first, Rose assaults the flag as well, not as close as Rory but would expect birdie from there. Scheffler’s wedge is average.

19:16

Birdie for McIlroy! Couldn’t have asked for a more perfect start. Scheffler and Rose tee off, decent drives by them both to begin. Block bogeys the first unfortunately.

19:05

Beautiful drive down the middle by Rory at the first, good start. He’s playing with PGA club pro Michael Block, who gets a huge reception. Block is looking to be the first PGA club pro to make the top 10 of the PGA Championship in 50 years.

Block caught a bad break between the bunker and the rough at the first, he lays up. McIlroy has a wedge in... and he puts it right at the flag! What a shot! Tap-in birdie.

19:00

Hello and welcome to live coverage of the final round of the PGA Championship at Oak Hill in Rochester, New York. Rory McIlroy is next on the tee and is five shots off the lead of Brooks Koepka after three days. An interesting subplot is that Koepka would move ahead of McIlroy in major wins should he win today, making him the player with the most majors of his generation. Rory would loathe to let that happen.

He’s not had his best stuff this week so far, missing a lot of fairways, but he will no doubt give it his best shot. Justin Thomas was eight shots behind at one stage of the final round last year, so it’s all to play for. Other players in contention include Scottie Scheffler, Viktor Hovland and Bryson DeChambeau. If you’d like to get involved, contact @DavidGorman20 on Twitter.

Shane Lowry has already started his final round, he is bogeyed his first hole today. He’s +2 for the tournament.
