Longford run out big winners on trip to London

Midlanders keep up Division Four promotion drive with 15-point win

London 0-6 Longford 1-18

Jack Sheedy's rapidly improving Longford outfit were far too classy for London at Ruislip as they maintained their impressive unbeaten Allianz Football League Division Four start.

Prompted by midfielders Kevin Diffley and Barry Gilleran, Longford controlled the opening period and build up a 0-8 to 0-2 advantage at the break.

It was a similar story of Longford supremacy after the restart as centre forward Paul McKeon netted a crisp 48th-minute goal.
