Former Liverpool soccer trialist Derek Carroll is the new Public Relations Officer of the Dublin County Board Pitch and Putt Union.

Carroll, who is looking forward to promoting the sport in the metropolitan area, is set for a busy year as he is also chairman at RGSC during a 2002 season that will see them host the National Ladies Strokeplay championship next July.
