WOMEN'S FOOTBALL:SINÉAD AHERN scored five points as Dublin maintained their 100 per cent start to the Bord Gáis Energy Ladies National Football League Division One campaign yesterday. The Dubs made it two wins from two outings with a hard-fought 0-10 to 0-7 victory against Meath in Ashbourne.

Elsewhere the division, holders Cork also registered a second successive win as they defeated Monaghan 3-11 to 1-13.Rhona Ní Bhuachalla (two) and Nollaig Cleary scored Cork’s goals.

In Division Two, Cora Staunton was among the goals for Mayo as they defeated Clare 2-11 to 0-9. Kerry lead the division after beating Fermanagh 3-23 to 4-7.

In Division Three, there were victories for Armagh, Down, Leitrim and Westmeath. Longford came away with maximum points from their visit to Antrim in Division Four, while Limerick edged out Louth by a single point.
