Sir, – Donald Trump’s November visit to Ireland has been “postponed” for “scheduling reasons”. It reminds me of when bands broke up in days of yore, routinely citing “creative differences”. It’s equally mystifying and opaque. – Yours, etc,

Sir, – I don’t believe there is any mystery about Donald Trump’s cancellation of his proposed visit to Ireland in November.
It is simple politics. I think he or more importantly his advisers understand that the implementation of a major protest here would have a significant impact on the mid-term elections and the voting of the Irish diaspora . – Yours, etc,

Sir, – Does this mean we won’t get to see the “Trump Baby” blimp? – Yours, etc,
