Sir, – I really don’t know what type of utopian world Eamon Ryan or the Greens live in but it certainly isn’t mine or anyone else who lives in rural Ireland. I would warn the Greens that any attempt to prevent people selling a few bags of turf to pay for increasing energy and food bills is a non-starter. Time and time again the Greens, most whom live in suburbia, have failed to gauge the mood of the people who are at their wits’ end with ever-rising costs. – Yours, etc,
