Sir, – The sole advantage I can see in Ireland rejoining the Commonwealth would be that it would allow Irish athletes to compete in the Commonwealth Games (Letters, April 13th, 14th, 15th).
As to its being a mollifying gesture to unionists, the vast majority of them couldn’t give a fig whether we are in or out. – Yours, etc,
