Taking time for Lenten reflection

Madam, - F.MacE's Thinking Anew column last Saturday struck a chord with me. He rightly points to Lent as a time to reflect on fundamentals.

Here is one: "Sometimes more is less". Just one example. Now we are cash-rich but time-poor. Was it worth it? Could we shift gears and achieve a better balance, as individuals and as a society?

Let us pause for Lent. For a few weeks let us stop the wining, dining and sixty-nining and take time to reflect on what we have gained and what we have lost. - Yours, etc.,
