Sports superspreaders

Sir, – As neighbours of the Aviva Stadium we will, by Sunday, have had 156,000 fans of various sports in our area over the last 10 days.

The vast majority of the arena’s patrons are unmasked. They are using local public transport, bars, restaurants and general infrastructure.

This is more than a superspreader event. It is now a superspreader situation. We would swap for Garth Brooks in September any day.
