Weather forecast

Sir, – I find it strange that Met Éireann’s weather forecasts on RTÉ for the country rarely refer to cities such as Dublin, Cork, Galway, etc, where most people live.

Instead the forecasts are for the north, west, south and east, or areas such as north Munster, or the midlands. So, when the forecast says scattered showers over north Leinster, and sunny spells over south Leinster, where does that leave Dublin? Is the Liffey the boundary between the two? It would be much more useful to give a forecast for the Dublin area, rather than for vague geographical areas. – Yours, etc,

BATTIE WHITE,

Sandyford, Dublin 18.
