Sir, – On once again hearing the latest significant announcement on the Government’s management of the Covid-19 pandemic (“Varadkar says next easing of Covid-19 restrictions will be ‘very limited’”, News, February 17th), first and primarily by virtue of a leak from a parliamentary party meeting, one wonders why it bothers with press conferences, and to whom is the Government really accountable, a party or the people? – Yours, etc,
