Sir, – I was out for a few drinks with the lads the other night after work in a well-known pub on Baggot Street in Dublin. Being a responsible motorcyclist, I ordered a 330ml bottle of no-alcohol beer.
It was the same price as a pint of full-strength lager.
Someone in the Government needs to cop on and lower the VAT on no-alcohol or low-alcohol beer to zero.
