Sir, - A memorial to the poet, Francis Ledwidge, at the War Memorial Gardens, Islandbridge, Dublin was suggested in previous correspondance.
In the current climate of reconciliation between diverse traditions in these islands, it is opportune that the patriotic poet who died in the First World War be remembered at the aptly named Islandbridge. The concept of a Ledwidge memorial there was supported by the Irish Writers' Union a its recent executive committee meeting, - Yours, etc., Tony Quinn
