Putting Joyce’s words over Dublin

Sir, – I went for a walk along Sandymount Strand. It was a perfect day. The glittering facade of the shining new incinerator reflected the whole sky and the clouds sailing by. It was very beautiful.

It is a huge screen. The technology exists to project a rolling image of the text of Ulysses onto the surface. Given James Joyce's involvement with the Volta cinema, he would be amused to see his words read exactly where they were conceived, in the heart of the city he loved and in a way even he could not have imagined. – Yours, etc,

HARRY CROSBIE,

North Wall, Dublin 1.
