Sir, – We are not allowed to sit with an unvaccinated friend in a pub for as little as one minute but we may be asked to sit beside an unvaccinated work colleague every day for eight hours.
This is absurd, and Isme, which represents small and medium businesses, is right to oppose it ("Businesses 'caught in the middle' of staff with opposing views on Covid-19 vaccines", News, August 15th).
The vaccinated majority of employees in any workplace also have rights to a safe working environment, and employers have the right to determine under what conditions they will employ someone. – Yours, etc,
