Sir, Tom McDonagh (Letters, October 26th) suggests allowing motorised scooters and motorbikes use the bus lanes.
Why stop there? Why not let cars, trucks and tractors use the lanes as well! Thus defeating the original purpose of the bus lane, ie to encourage use of public transport for a smoother, quicker journey to your destination and also decreasing car emissions. – Yours, etc,
