Sir, – At long last there is light at the end of the Covid tunnel, allowing all of us a degree of optimism for a resumption of normal life. It may be a little too early to form any informed commentary on the events of the last two years but I feel the Government has overall done a very good job.
Faced with a complex, and highly volatile pandemic, and having regard for the massive short-term and longer-term social and economic impacts of Covid, the Government has had to almost daily respond to events and decide on the appropriate course of action. With the benefit of hindsight, it may be possible to suggest what could have been done differently but I for one am happy to say “well done” to our Government. – Yours, etc,
