Sir, – The "gay cake" controversy has provided thousands of column-inches for journalists since its inception in 2014 ("'Gay cake' complaint ruled inadmissible by European court", News, January 6th).
But it has been an even greater source of employment for lawyers.
Have the legal bills been commensurate with the price (€43.65) of the disputed cake? – Yours, etc,
