Sir, – As the parent of a young woman with Down syndrome, I am appalled that a private hospital has made the decision to distribute excess Covid vaccines to a private school, despite HSE guidelines ("Teachers from private school vaccinated in Beacon Hospital", News, March 26th).
According to HSE guidelines, teachers are in Level 11 rollout. My daughter is in Level 4 rollout, living a stone’s throw from the Beacon Hospital, and still waiting patiently for vaccination.
This is yet another example of the arrogance of the privileged classes who feel free to operate outside the parameters laid down for, and in the interests of, all citizens. – Is mise,
