Madam, - METRO NORTH, as now envisaged by the RPA, will cost €5 billion and carry twice as many passengers as a Luas line.
But two Luas lines could be built for about €1 billion, a saving of €4 billion.
In these hard times, should Metro North not be deferred, in favour of two Luas lines from O'Connell Bridge, one to Ballymun and the airport and the other to Drumcondra, Santry and Swords?
