Sir, – We Irish have a wonderful heritage of an ancient cycle of festivals; Samhain/Imbolc/ Bealtaine/Lunasa.
Why do we not look to our own tradition for a new public holiday in remembrance of our Celtic ancestors and not parrot someone else’s tradition?
