Sir, – Interesting. Irish Rail write off €50 million for failed technology system for their network. They may be still liable for a further €30 million (“IT firm seeks up to €30m from Irish Rail for scrapped technology project”, October 21st). They cannot provide a cup of tea and biscuit on the Dublin-Westport line. Says it all. – Yours, etc,
