Sir, – The Irish Times has reported on the annual conferences of representative bodies of gardaí, teachers and nurses, usually with the respective senior Ministers in attendance.
Many attendees continue to highlight the accommodation crisis for their members.
Before next year’s conferences, it might be informative if the representative bodies were to ask their members, under 30 and working in Dublin, the following questions.
How many persons are you sharing accommodation with and what rent are you paying?
Ireland is emerging from winter, but maybe hold off mowing your lawn for now
What’s a phage and why might your body be hosting thousands of them?
Author Torrey Peters: ‘Admitting to any sexual aspect to a trans identity can be politically dangerous. But I refuse to be silenced by bigots’
‘I feel so sorry for any young people who are gambling’: Cheltenham week a tough time for recovering addicts
What is your commute time to and from work?
Are you consider emigrating or finding a new job?
And for those who have left in the past few years, would they return if they were guaranteed affordable and reasonably located accommodation? – Yours, etc,
PASCHAL TAGGART,
Dublin 6.
