Sir, – In the past day or so I find myself being regularly haunted by the phrase “transitioning away from”.
I do not believe I have seen these words used in any meaningful contexts. Certainly not in one of such import as the pressing issue that now affects all humanity.
It seems to be a mere play on words without any lucidly expressed intent as to precisely what is entailed.
The terminology would seem to be expansively rich and promising to fossil fuel producers in the provision of a complete deck of “get out of jail free” cards!
