Sir, – What a bleak picture a letter writer (Letters, November 8th) paints when describing the shortcomings of all who use the road!
Rather than point out how many of us fail to do this, that and the other, and those who lack education in relation to road use, he should focus his attention on those who don’t get killed and injured, don’t ignore rules and regulations, and generally do their best to keep themselves and other safe and sound.
This approach of everybody being obliged to undergo all sorts of training, all sorts of education, reminds me of school, where the teacher used to punish the whole class over the misbehaviour of one.
