Sir, – The Deloitte/PWC report on the gap in graduates’ presentation and communications skills post-lockdown won’t come as a surprise to many (“Big Four firms increase training to tackle ‘skills gaps’ among recruits”, Business, May 2nd). Thankfully there is a timely solution at hand in the form of Toastmasters, the international, not-for-profit, training and development organisation that has helped countless thousands to reach their full potential as communicators and leaders. Good communication skills are crucial to the success of any organisation. The post-lockdown experience has made them even more vital. Toastmasters can help bridge the skills gap in a highly supportive and cost-effective environment. – Yours, etc,
