Sir, – Further to “Car numbers and cattle herds could be cut in climate change plan” (News, December 19th), are we really going to take one in five cars off the road and cut the cattle herd by 10 per cent by 2030?
Let’s have some common sense.
While quantifying carbon emissions from cows and cars, could someone please also quantify the carbon emissions from those teams and supporters who travelled round the globe to and from Qatar for the World Cup? – Yours, etc,
