British detectives investigating the murder of an aspiring teacher are hoping YouTube footage of possible witnesses will lead to the killer’s capture.

CCTV images of passengers at a railway station have been posted on the web in a bid to find out more about the stabbing of Sam Guidera, in Sydenham, south-east London.

Officers are seeking to identify 32 people who can be seen on the footage.

Detective chief inspector Laurence Smith said: “If you believe you may have been in the area that night in February we urge you to watch the video, come forward and let us know who you are.”

which recreated the murder of the student who was stabbed to death in the street.

The 24-year-old left a train at Penge East before he was found collapsed in the street on February 12th.

Two men aged 18 and 39 have been arrested and bailed until April over the attack.

The history and politics student at the University of Greenwich had spent the day watching football.

He travelled on the 9.17pm train from Bickley and crossed over the railway footbridge at Penge East to the Newlands Park exit on his way to meet a friend.

CCTV images show him as he went into a convenience store before walking towards the bus stop in Newlands Park, at the junction with Bailey Place, where he was stabbed.

He was found collapsed in the street at 9.55pm, and a number of residents, occupants of cars, bus passengers and other pedestrians went to help him, initially believing he may have been hit by a car.
