Ballycotton lifeboat was launched this morning at 6:20am to a yacht experiencing difficulties 1.5 miles southwest of Ballycotton lighthouse.
The 31-foot yacht with four people on board experienced engine trouble and sought assistance.
The sea was calm but visibility was very poor in the area due to a heavy fog. The yacht was towed safely to Ballycotton harbour.
