A woman has been arrested following the seizure yesterday of heroin with an estimated street value of more than £1 million, writes Clare Murphy. Gardai raided a house in Clondalkin, west Dublin, and recovered 7.5 kg of the drug and a machine pistol.
The 33-year-old woman was last night detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act. A man who fled from the house is being sought. Gardai believe that they can link the pistol to a number of crimes in the area.
