The 'Year of Vocation' alluded to by Cardinal Brady in Rome yesterday will extend from Vocations Sunday on April 13th next to Vocations Sunday 2009, which falls on May 3rd of that year.

Various projects and initiatives will be organised by the Irish Catholic Church to highlight the special dignity of each of the specific vocations: married and family life; the ordained priesthood; the religious life; and the single life.

"More details on this exciting 'Year of Vocation'  will be announced shortly,"  Cardinal Brady said  yesterday.
