Gardaí are investigating the incident in which four men entered the house on Brighton Avenue, Rathgar, at around 6.45pm.They did not break in but were admitted by the occupants.

One of the men was armed with what gardaí believe was a handgun and the others with hammers and knives. They tied up both men with cable ties but left after a couple of minutes in a 2005 blue BMW.
