Two Indonesians test positive for bird flu

Two more Indonesians have been confirmed as infected with the H5N1 bird flu virus, a health official said today.

Two more Indonesians have been confirmed as infected with the H5N1 bird flu virus, a health official said today.

Samples from an 18-year-old male, from Bandung in western Java island, tested negative earlier in Hong Kong, where the tests are being done, but the latest result would classify him as a H5N1 case, said the director-general of communicable disease control.

A 15-year-old girl from Solok in western Sumatra, who is fighting for her life, also tested positive, he said.
