Two people have been killed in separate road incidents in counties Wicklow and Dublin today.
Gardaí in Baltinglass are investigating a fatal crash involving four vehicles that happened at about 4.30pm at Mullacagh on the N81, three kilometres south of Hollywood Cross.
Two cars and two sports utility vehicles collided, killing the driver of one of the SUVs. The victim was a man in his 30s, and his body has been taken to Naas General Hospital.
Six others injured in the crash have been taken to Naas and Tallaght Hospitals. None of their injuries are believed to be life threatening.
The road is closed for investigation, and diversions are in place.
Elsewhere, gardaí in Finglas are investigating a fatal road incident that happened this afternoon.
A motorcycle and sports utility vehicle collided on the Cardiffsbridge Road shortly before 3.30pm.
The motorbike had two men on it, both in their early 20s. One was was killed and taken to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown, while the other was seriously injured and taken to the Mater Hospital.
Investigators have net yet determined who was driving and who was the pillion passenger. The road is shut pending a forensic collision investigation.
