Two more Britons being held as suspected Taliban or al-Qaeda members in Camp X-Ray, the US naval base detention centre at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, were named today by the British Foreign Office.

Mr Asif Iqbal (20) and Mr Shafiq Rasul (24) both from central England, were taken to the high security base after being seized in Afghanistan, officials confirmed.

According to the Sunday Times, the pair belong to a fanatical Islamic group based in the small town of Tipton, in the West Midlands.

The pair travelled to Afghanistan to fight alongside Taliban and al-Qaeda troops within days of the September 11 terrorist attacks in the US, the weekly newspaper claimed.
