Eight Joe Dolan fans claimed yesterday they were refused admission to one of his concerts because they were members of the Travelling community.
Henry and Marie Gray, Gerry and Mary Connors, William and Sarah Connors, and Terry and Kathleen Dunne are objecting to the renewal of the drinks licence of the Spa Hotel in Lucan where the concert was held in August last year.
They claim hotel security staff stopped them at the door and told them: "No Travellers allowed".
The hotel denies this claim and maintains they were refused because they were not known to staff and had been seen talking to two people who had been in a riot involving members of the Travelling community at a previous Joe Dolan concert.
Judge Patrick Brady is to give a decision on their objection today.
The court heard that as a result of the previous incident the hotel was facing seven separate court proceedings for damages from patrons claiming management failed to take steps to ensure their safety.
