A five year old girl was found drowned in the Scarriff River, Co Clare, on Saturday evening, four hours after she had been reported missing by her mother.
Mrs Jennifer Gadd, River View Road, Scarriff, reported to gardai lit 3 p.m. that the child was missing and a search was organised. The body was taken to the Ennis County Hospital where a post mortem was carried out.
