Three men were rescued today after their dinghy capsized in Strangford Lough.
The three, all in their early 20s, managed to swim to Rainey Island in the middle of the lough after the dinghy capsized in rough sea conditions.
They were able to contact the Belfast Coast Guard with a mobile phone and the Portaferry Life Boat was deployed.
A RNLI spokesman said: "Portaferry Life Boat was quickly dispatched with a crew of three who made their way to the remote island in approximately 22 minutes where one of the crew had to swim to the island, due to prevailing wind conditions, to assist the stricken men.
"All three men were brought back to Sketrick Island, cold and wet, to receive some much needed safety advice from the Coast Guard.
"None of the men required any medical attention."
