The PSNI have charged three men with two counts of attempted murder and one of the men with aggravated burglary.
The men will appear in Downpatrick Magistrates Court this morning. They were charged in relation to an attack on a couple at their home in Co Down on Tuesday evening.
The victims, in their forties, were assaulted in their house in the Rathgill area of Bangor and needed hospital treatment for their injuries.
