Talks in the Lufthansa Technik Airmotive Ireland (LTAI) dispute are to resume tomorrow after the National Implementation Body (NIB) intervened.

The aircraft maintenance firm placed the 465 workers at its Rathcoole plant in Dublin on protective notice yesterday.

Siptu branch organiser Teresa Hannick welcomed the move.

"We believe the dispute is capable of resolution and the intervention of the NIB will hopefully provide the sort of non-confrontational environment where this can happen," she said.
