Negotiations between public health doctors and Health Employers' Agency (HSA) have resumed at the Labour Relations Commission this evening.

It has been reported that some progress had been made at talks between the Irish Medical Organisation and the HSA yesterday as the strike entered it eighth week.

The dispute involves 270 doctors who specialises in disease surveillance and control, and concerns have been expressed that it must be resolved before the Special Olympics, which begins in less than three weeks.
