A Sudanese military plane caught fire and exploded at the airport in the southern Sudanese town of Awil today, killing all seven crew and 13 others on board, an army spokesman said.

"Twenty people were killed -- seven crew and 13 others, soldiers," said the spokesman. It was not immediately clear what caused the fire or explosion.
