Tehran - Six people were wounded, one seriously, in a mortar attack in northern Tehran yesterday, Iran state television reported. The report said a sports complex had been hit while neighbourhood residents said one mortar had hit a police headquarters and that a man had been taken into custody over the attack. There was no official confirmation of the reports. The attack was later claimed by the outlawed opposition People's Mujahedeen.
