A sergeant with the Air Corps was yesterday given leave by the High Court to challenge a decision to abolish a specific grade of aircraft inspector. The action is regarded as a test case.
Sgt Dermot Duke, of Primatestown, Ashbourne, Co Meath, claims the decision to abolish the classification or occupation of Grade C Aircraft Inspector has damaged his reputation and promotional prospects.
