Malisevo - A Yugoslav military offensive rolled into western Kosovo yesterday and troops captured a guerrilla stronghold as thousands of refugees fled before them.
The government turned its vastly superior armed might on the lightly-armed Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) six days ago, with the apparently limited objective of reopening main roads cut by the guerrillas.
But the operation has put the insurgent forces to flight, raising speculation that the Yugoslav President, Mr Slobodan Milosevic, may now be preparing to go for a knock-out punch.
